Very fine baby yarn, probably a size 1 or fingerlng yarn. One ball is missing it's wrapper but is intact. These balls all have an inner cardboard core that adds 1/2 ounce to the weight. Content of each ball is as follows:

Weight: 1.5 ounces
Length: 288 yards
Fiber: 68% polyester
32% acrylic
Easy care and washable.

The listing price is for all five balls.

Omega is in Mexico and still manufactures yarn today, although not this particular type. It calls this "Sky Blue", but it is really more of a medium blue.

This yarn has a story that goes with it. If you're interested, read on. If not, skip it.

This is the very first of the yarn I amassed during my phase of "collecting yarn for projects that never came to fruition." The year was 2001 and the place was Sacramento, California. I went around to all the stores in the tri-county area and bought all the Omega Baby Yarn available.
I did seek out advice during this time and actually asked someone if I was crazy. She said "Yes." Did that stop me? No. It only fueled my passion for seeking out mass quantities of yarn---always with a future project in mind---that inevitably languished in one of my closets...or under the bed...or in the spare bedroom...or behind the toilet tank in the bathroom. Things did not get better with time. When I moved halfway across the country to Albuquerque in 2006, of course all this precious cargo came with me. Continuously adding more selections as the days turned into weeks, the weeks turned into months and the months turned into years, it wasn't long before I needed a larger house and eventually, an offsite storage facility (which also is where much of my fabric lives, but that's another story it itself.)
