Vintage hand painted porcelain figural lamps of a courting couple made in occupied Japan. Fabulous and unusual pair of lamps for your bedside or vintage boudoir dresser.

This pair of bedroom lamps is in incredible shape, no cracks, no chips and no crazing that I could see, they work, and the colors are vibrant and the hand painted details crips and enchanting. He holds for her a red, red rose while she demurely bows her head. Powder blue and violet with cinnamon colored dots on her dress, they are trimmed lavishly with shiny gold.

Appr. 10" tall from the top of the business end of the receptical to the bottom, both of which are stamped "Made in Occupied Japan", which means the immediately following the end of WWII in 1945.
