These rabbit masks are done in the round, similar to how they looked in life. It is not tanned, it is dried, and some salt was used in the process. I have pictures of both sides, and in the picture front on, you can see where the face dried giving it individual expression. The whiskers, nose and even the eyelashes are all there. The ears stand up stiffly, with no wires or supports. Enlarge the picture and get a better look. Each one is different....
These are spotted short hair, and as with all I am offering, it is the natural color.
Sitting on a table, it is almost eerie; looking like the rest of the body might be found under the table!
Uses might include for a budding magician, for a sculptor wanting a realistic face, doll or toy making, any number of artistic uses, and yes, for fly tying for fly fishermen. I did not put in any kind of eyes, as I felt that is best left to the buyer's imagination! And imagination seems to be what my customers have in abundance! My suggestions pale compared to how buyers have been making use of these!
Underneath is hollow, dried hide.. I try to get pictures of all sides so as little as possible is left to imagination before buying.
.
Measurements are almost 5 1/2 inches from ear tips to nose (because the ears are not straight out behind) and just about 3 inches wide from cheek to cheek, with tufts of wool around the collar. When sitting with the open part flush with the table it is 4 inches high.
Packaging witll be done very carefully, as it is an odd shape.

Appearantly it is necessary to let people know that these were made from what is normally considered by-products, or waste, from meat rabbits. It seems a dishonor to me to waste any part that might be used from an animal who gives it's life to sustain people. They were not killed jsut for the heads, as some people have claimed!
