Found No. 5
Found: February 15th, 2012
Date: 2012

Found No. 5 is part of a still life series and is a one of a kind original piece. It is combination of pyrography (woodburning), chalk and graphite on a cradled birch panel. The majority of this piece is created by drawing onto the wood with a heated tool, much like drawing with a pencil. I accented the burning with chalk and pencil. I have applied two coats of matte varnish for protection. The dimensions of this detailed piece is 4" x 4" and 7/8" thick. The back has been titled/numbered, signed and dated.

To learn more about the process of Pyrography you can find a clip of me working on another piece of mine here
