This is such a quirky, interesting artifact. I came across it at an estate sale. The rabbit is made of very intricately woven rattan. It has red glass eyes. I am not sure of the smooth material that covers the inside of the rabbit's ears. There is a double circle shaped wood mount on the back of the piece for hanging on a wall. There is a lacquered finish on the piece. It is in overall excellent condition.

It measures 10 inches from the tip of an ear to the bottom of the wood mount. It measures 4 inches across. I could not find anything like this on the internet. I am developing a knack for finding uncommon pieces with a bit of personality. On the back of the rabbit is an oval gold sticker. It reads: Sebastian (with a crown over it). Below that, it reads: People's Republic of China. This label phrase was used on items imported from China in the mid 1970's.
