“…When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains,
however improbable, must be the truth…”

~Sherlock Holmes
The Sign of the Four, ch. 6 (1890) by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Finally- a journal perfect for that avid Sherlockian in your life, inspired by the world's most famous detective that never existed: Sherlock Holmes! The cover page features a print of an illustration by Sidney Paget who created the original artwork for the Holmes stories appearing in The Strand magazine; it features Holmes and his side-kick Watson. The illustration is captioned with the above quote. (This journal can also come without the quote page.; please let me know in 'Notes to Seller' at check-out if you would prefer this.)

The dark brown cowhide that I used for the cover, has 'antiqued'/stained the first and last pages of the journal, lending the journal an antique quality. The book is kept closed with a black elastic, attached through two brass eyelets in the back of the journal. An antiqued brass key embellishment is stitched on the front of the cover.

320-pages (both sides) of good quality white unlined 28 lb./105 gsm writing paper with handtorn edges; it's acid free and archival and opens flat so you can write all the way into the margins. The hearty binding is hand-stitched with dark brown beeswaxed Irish linen thread, visible on the spine.
