FYI, more in shop to pair this one with or for a grouping!
I'm having a celebration Anniversary SALE on currently listed and some new listings of pages rescued from a damaged book from the 1960s! I normally sell these for $11.00 -$14.00. I sometimes do sales but this is the best price I have ever done on prints from this lot.
Single prints are $5.50 each . Double print listings are $9.50, Trio listing sets are $13.50, and 4 set print listings are $17.50. You can find many prints within this lot that will coordinate together as well as the double, trio, and 4 set specially priced groups. Very hot trend now to hang alot of prints together.
The print in this listing is for a real beauty, the Elegant Fimbria Clam. All shells photographed in this lot are photographed in their natural state. Many of the prints from this lot have this wonderful cabinet of curiosities type look because of the extreme detail and close-up studies. These prints are not faded but are sharp. Some of my night lighting photos give a faded impression.
First I will give background info on prints in general and specific info on this listing is at end.** Note: The various shades of black, gray, cream in this print are much more vivid in person. Not washed out as it looks here due to the night lighting. Convo if you want me to take pics in daylight.
All shell images were photographed in their natural state. Our Creator really is the best artist!

Note: I have a listing for a set of three that includes this photograph. They are very lovely but not from this lot and the paper quality and size are not the same so they are priced accordingly, less for three than for three from this 1960s lot. This listing is for one print from the 1960s lot. (If you are confused, bottom line this listing is for one print from the better quality lot!)

The color prints are hand-tipped, meaning they are actually photographs gently attached to the page. The black & white prints are printed onto the page. All seashells in these wonderful beauties are in their natural state. The finish on both the color prints and the printed page black/white prints is a wonderful matte finish. The paper is a nice substantial matte paper. Color photographs have a sublte matte sheen. What is just as beautiful as the seashell images are the backgrounds. My photography of these pages do not do them justice! Backgrounds themselves are works of art! The color prints have muted backgrounds with various shadings of color as a background. Sometimes there are textured looking backgrounds with sublte lines and dots. The black/white images also have amazing backgrounds. Often they have droplets of water and sometimes the shells look like they are floating with varying degrees of shading also. There is a page number at the bottom of each print on the page. You can cover this with a mat or frame but personally I like the numbers as it adds to the cabinet of curiosities feel, especially on the black/white prints.
Convo if you need more photos.
Color photographic print size varies as they are attached to the 10 3/4" by 11 3/8" page. Most black/whites are full page which measures about 10 3/4" by 11 3/8". All have a slight rough edge on the paper page part where they were once attached to a book. Can easily be covered with a mat and/or frame. For the color prints, you can make use of all or part of the wide page border for a matte effect. Sometimes these color prints can be gently removed from the page if you choose but I will leave that up to you. (: You can always trim around the print to change the border size.
These images can easily adapt to modern, shabby chic cottage, beach, traditional, even urban industrial decor (the blk/white prints) depending on how you mat and/or frame them.

**This listing is for 1 black white photographic print of the Southwest Pacific Elegant Fimbria Clam seashell. The detailing on this particular shell is amazingly visible, so delicate and perfect with its organic ridges. The minut detailing on this shell is very interesting. There is a reflective quality in the print to the right bottom of the page, an area that is lighter. This is part of the print. Several of these, especially the color ones, have reflections or hints of refections. It really pops against the, charcoal black backbround. More contrasting than it appears in my photos. If you wanted a pair or trio, there are other listings in SeaSeaRider you could put this with. Yet, these prints can definitely stand alone. These make for affordable yet very beautiful art work.

I can easily give discount shipping for more than one print.
Shipping is for mainland U.S. Convo for Alaska, Hawaii, or outside U.S.
Visit SeaSeaRider for much vintage SEA-inspired, both vintage and original art of mine.
