Four vintage transfer-ware bone dishes designed by Clarice Cliff with the "Tonquin" pattern. There is one of each color, Black, Red, Green and Blue. The black is a rare hard-to-come-by color. These are all in very good condition except for the blue one which has a slight hairline crack shown in picture 4. These dishes were used for placing the bones of either chicken or turkey on so they would not crowd the rest of your dinner plate. I see these along with open salts, now-a-days used for display of jewelry, give a penny/take a penny and for other small trinkets. They are a great half moon shape great for display or use.
