A yantra is the sound vibration of a mantra seen as a visual diagram. It is said that when Om is chanted, this pattern manifests in a non-physical dimension. Sri Yantras are made of 9 interlacing triangles – 4 upward representing the male principle and 5 downward representing the female principle. Together, they represent the vibrating, creative force of the universe. The point in the center, the Bindu, is the point of creative manifestation, Shiva and Shakti (male and female energies) united in bliss. The Sri Yantra is considered the mother of all mandalas.

The image is printed on high quality 8.5 x 11 photo paper and packaged with a cardboard backing in a protective sleeve. The actual image is approximately 6" x 6" on a white background. I have signed the back of the cardboard - it is common practice in mandala art to NOT sign the front of the piece, recognizing that the unnamed soul was the artist, not the "ego personality."

If you'd like to see more mandalas, please see the gallery page of my website: www.mandalavisions.com/Pages/gallery. I'd be happy to post any of them on Etsy for purchase.
And be sure to color in and print your own mandala on the "Create your own mandala" page.
