Creating murrini has always been a rather mysterious lampworking technique with an undeserved reputation of being difficult and complex. Compared to the rest of lampworking, there is very little information about how complex murrini are made, especially using lampworking techniques. This is a shame, as murrini are almost an art form in themselves and can add incredible depth and detail to beads.

This is a set of eight separate and complete tutorials on making murrini, and contains supporting information on many related topics including tools, glass choice, cutting murrini, using murrini, etc...

The tutorials are arranged in order of difficulty and progress, from basic shapes all the way to a complex monarch butterfly.

All these tutorials require some experience at the torch and are performed using soft glass (104 moretti/effetre, lauscha and vetrofond). The techniques will translate easily to any kind of soft glass, and even work with boro assuming you have enough firepower.

This set of tutorials is 60 pages long with over 250 separate images.

Upon purchase, I will email you download instructions and passwords for this tutorial.

The download links should also come with the etsy transaction email.

You will require a way to read PDF files to view these tutorials. Both Adobe Reader and Foxit reader are free programs that will allow you to view it.
