You wrote a beautiful poem, Emmett. I can feel the emotion you poured into it. Had you not wrote an introduction, I would have still, been able to read the story.
I read he had a beautiful home and land. Proud to work with his hands. Time and troubles had him, not on his knees but standing before God, not as a holy man. Just one not ashamed.

Towards the end, the loss of his wife, makes him face the unavoidable truth. He is not a young man. I don't know his name Emmett but I am still you glad to meet him and glad to have the opportunity to shake his strong hand.
