Starry Night Transformative Works

Mar 21, 2012

Vincent Van Gogh painted 'Starry Night Over the Rhone' in 1888 and the more famous 'The Starry Night' in 1889. The play and contrast of dark blue and vivid yellow in both paintings inspires the eye and the artist.

The rules for this treasury list was that the item must be obviously (or at least reasonably) inspired by one of the two paintings (random combinations of yellow and dark blue called "starry" not enough) but that it also transform the work, whether it is adapted to a different surface or medium or is a jumping-off-point for a new item.
