Good Dissent badge is a small (c.25mm) round badge with text:

The badge comes out of my work in 2020 on enabling Dissent in projects and organisations. The ideas that making sure we can stop bad ideas by refusing to go along with groupthink.

What came up in both research and workshops is the importance of visibility (why a physical badge is a good thing) and two kinds of action:

Sceptical generalist: it’s easy to go along with what other people say but, often it’s good just to maintain a questioning stance. Being sceptical can help other people maintain their own sense of questioning.

Persistent specialist: groupthink can overwhelm individuals. It’s easy to just let go and accept what the group thinks is right. Being persistent and loud about what you know matters.

Each badge comes with a card backing with a short explanation of these ideas.
