Description

Do you have Gold that is sentimental to you? maybe its been passed down through the family or was given to you by a loved one, then why not use that gold to make one of the most prescious items of jewellery you will ever wear...your weding ring.
This listing is a service for us to make one traditional D-Shape wedding ring 2mm-6mm wide (wider bands available see other listing) from 9ct Gold supplied by yourself.

We will need 4grams-16grams of gold depending on your width of ring and finger size, once the Gold is received it will be checked and weighed, any non gold items including stones will be removed (stones may be damaged when being removed although all effort will be taken to remove them safely). The weight of gold will be noted before melting. Each order is melted into individual bars before being rolled and shaped into your desired profile and width. The ring will then be joined and finished to a high standard by our highly trained and experienced Goldsmiths. Any cut offs, non gold items and left over Gold will be returned to you along with the finished band. There can be a 6-12% loss in the weight of your gold during the melting, filing and polishing stages i.e if we use 10 grams of Gold the finished item will weigh 8.8-9.4grams. If you send a mixture of different carat Golds i.e 9ct & 18ct they will be melted together but we will have to stamp it the lowest grade which in this case would be 9ct. Each ring will be stamped 375 to signify 9ct and our makers stamp. If you want your ring to be hallmarked by the assay office we can do that for you for an extra £65 which includes insured postage both ways, please let us know if you require this additional service.

To give you an idea of how much gold you will need to send I have listed some AVARAGE weights of different width bands below, dont forget you need to send around 12% more to allow for loss but its always better to send a little more as all the excess gold or Gold not needed will be returned to you anyway, if you dont have enough gold we can add some of our own Gold to make up the difference for you at an agreed price.

2mm band size P 1.9 grams
3mm band size P 3.2 grams
4mm band size T 4.9 grams
5mm band size S 6.1 grams
6mm band size W 7.2 grams

We recommend sending your Gold via Royal Mail Special delivery as it then covers against loss in the post, we are not liable for any postage costs or any loss during postage, once its received and signed for by us we will notify you that it has been received safe and sound. Any further questions please get in touch and one of our Goldsmiths will get back to you personnaly within a few minutes. (8am-10pm GMT)
