For most deliveries we use Royal Mail 1st Class for UK, and Royal Mail International Standard for worldwide. Etsy provide an estimated delivery timescale at the time of order for general guidance, though these can be significantly affected by seasonal and many other factors. Worldwide deliveries generally arrive in the destination country to schedule, but can then sometimes be held up by transit and customs arrangements which are beyond our control.

For most of our products we offer free or discounted worldwide delivery using Royal Mail 1st Class / International Standard. These services are not tracked - which would be disproportionately costly and sometimes even more than the total product cost itself - but we find these services to be regular and reliable. We do use tracked services for a few of our higher value items.

You may return your order by first notifying us within 14 days and then returning the product in its original condition and packaging within 21 days of delivery. You will need to meet the return postage costs. On receipt, we will process a refund of the product cost, excluding any postage paid. This policy excludes any personalised items.

If your item arrives damaged in transit, please let us know straight away and in any event within 7 days of receipt, so that we can contact our carriers. We will replace or refund the product.

In the unlikely event that your purchase shows a manufacturing defect in normal usage within 60 days after date of dispatch, we guarantee either to replace the product or to provide a full refund.

In either case, please first contact us and send us a photo of the problem. In some cases we might ask you to return the product but please don't do this without us requesting it. Often it will be unnecessary.

We now stock an increasing number of vegan leather products alongside our real leather ranges, in response to customer demand.

Vegan leather describes a product which can be just as durable and beautiful as real leather, but is made from synthetic materials and without animal products. It may alternatively be known as PU or faux leather. Vegan leather comes in a limitless range of colours and textures, and is frequently used in making high quality brightly coloured and modern bags and wallets in particular.

Vegan leather may be preferred for ethical reasons but is just as often chosen for its attractiveness and affordability in its own right.

Every country across the world sets its own customs arrangements and they can be extremely complex. Our general experience is that the majority of our overseas dispatches pass free of any charges or below the local chargeable threshold. We hardly ever hear of any difficulties on this subject.

However this varies by country and sometimes charges might be payable. You would need to check your own country's current exact rules for this. As with almost all online stores, Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. If you then decide not to meet such charges, we can process a refund of the product cost but only if and when the item is returned to us by your local customs authority, which can take a long time.

In the case of real leather products, we always say here that as a natural product, the colour of real leather items does inevitably vary somewhat from batch to batch due to the dying process. One of the beautiful features of leather is that no two products are completely identical.

We also find that real leather can appear quite different in various light conditions, quite significantly so sometimes. Some darker colours in particular - notably dark blues, greens, purples etc - can appear anything from almost black to quite light when in bright sunshine.
