WHAT IS THIS LISTING FOR?

Personalised menu place cards complete with personalised guests’ names and their menu choices to help your guests remember what they chose and assist waiting staff when serving. We crease the cards so that you can fold them with ease without denting the cards or you can request to have flat cards instead. Cards are printed on your choice of 330gsm ivory or white card or on our Premium lightly textured cream card. There is a minimum order quantity of 20! If you would like a quantity not shown in the drop-down menu, please request a custom order or order the next quantity up as we will always include blanks to make up the number.

CAN I CHANGE THE TITLES/HAVE A LOGO/PRINTING ON THE BACK?

Yes, of course. No problem at all. If you’d like to include titles for example (e.g. Mother of the Bride), you’d just include an additional column on your spreadsheet. You can change the menu headings or remove them completely. You can have some of the info printed on the back of the fold. You can add dietary requirements or have your names & the date printed on the back. You can even send us a logo if you have one. We’re happy to change the design. Just remember that any line of text on the card must be in its own column on the spreadsheet. Feel free to email us if you’re unsure.

HOW DO I SEND THE NAMES?

Most orders we receive are missing details and nearly everyone follows up with a message asking how to send the names. Please provide an email address and actual event date with your order along with the date you need to receive them by. We need these for shipping purposes. Our email address is on the automatic order confirmation you will receive from Etsy. This is the best place to send the list of names to. Please, please read the Order Process & Instructions section below. We’ve listed all the information you could possibly need on this listing.

QUANTITIES

Please note there is a minimum order quantity of 20 via this listing including for reprints at a later date (please keep the thank you card you’ll receive with your order as it includes details on the only way to order smaller quantities & reprints). We always advise including several blanks just in case you have last-minute changes to your guest list. Please select the next quantity up if you’d like a quantity not shown and we’ll include blanks to make up the number with just the design and space for you to write in the details yourself.

REPRINTS & SMALLER QUANTITIES

We often get requests for just 2 or 3 cards because the guest list has changed. These cannot be ordered on Etsy so please ensure you keep the thank you card you will have received with your main order as this will provide details of the only way to order a small quantity. Alternatively, you can email us (not via Etsy messaging) to the address that was in your order confirmation.

ORDER PROCESS & INSTRUCTIONS

Please email the list of names and menu options on a spreadsheet to us as per instructions below:
Names and menu options must be in a table or spreadsheet (Word or Excel) or, if you do not have access to those, a comma delimited list. The information for each card must be on one line with each line of text for that card in a separate column. For example: Column A, Line 1 = Name1; Column B, Line 1 = Starter1, Column C, Line 1 = Main1; Column D, Line 1 = Dessert1. Then the next card will continue on Column A, Line 2 and so on (Please see photo of spreadsheet). It’s fine to use commas within the text on a spreadsheet. Remember to add a column if you need to add in additional details.
We do not correct spelling errors or punctuation. We copy and paste text exactly as you have written it so, please double check everything before you send it to us. Please write all text in sentence case and not as All Caps as these do not always translate well in certain fonts. Don’t worry, if your design shows a font in all caps, it will automatically convert.
If you do not have access to either MS Word or MS Excel then please write the text out as follows using commas to separate out each portion of text (Name,Starter,Main,Dessert) and without any spaces, numbers or symbols:
Bride,Soup,Chicken,Strawberries & Cream
Groom,Smoked Salmon,Beef,Apple Pie
Do not use commas within the text itself if you are using a comma delimited list (e.g. Chicken, Leeks & Potatoes) as the comma between Chicken & Leeks will act as a line break. Please do not leave any blank lines between each line of text. Do not put spaces in after the commas as these will be treated as a character and ‘print’ causing text to look misaligned. Each line of text represents one menu place card. Each comma represents the start of a line of text on that place card.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us before compiling the information if you are unsure about anything. We are happy to help and can also send you a blank spreadsheet to fill in.
Some special characters (e.g. ö or é) may not print correctly in your chosen font. Please point this out to us if your names include any special or foreign characters.
We do not prepare proofs of place cards unless the design is unusual, or you specifically request one. Orders will go straight to print so if your design differs from that pictured, please add a message to the order. Please remember that these cards serve as a reminder to the guests of what they have ordered, not a full menu! So please limit the number of characters, including spaces, to 70 for each course. We may choose to create a proof if we feel it is necessary and this will be at our own discretion.

CHANGING FONT & DESIGN

We can print details in different fonts to those pictured. If you see any you prefer on one of our other products, please just add a note to the order. Please note that some fonts print capital letters as large lowercase letters. Please check listing photographs to ensure you are happy with the font.
We can do these to match any of our other designs so if you’ve found a design on one of our other products you’d prefer, please just add a note to the order. It doesn’t change the price.
If you’d like your own logo or something else printed on them, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Printing on the back: If you’d like something printed on the back of the card such as a small quote or more of the pretty design, please just ask when ordering. There is no extra charge for this. Printing on the inside of the fold would incur an additional cost.

PRINTING & DISPATCH

All personalised orders are dispatched as per the listed processing time after you have sent the list of names in the correct format. If you have requested proofs, this will be slightly longer, especially during busy periods. Please allow up to 3 days for proofs. Although you may have received an automated message from Etsy stating when your item will be dispatched, this does not necessarily mean it has left our office and it may be on hold if we are waiting for you to send details or approve any requested electronic proofs. Please also be aware that Etsy automated dispatch times do not take UK Bank Holidays and weekends into consideration!
We always do our best to dispatch items faster! Please note that dispatch times are just that and delivery/shipping times depend on the shipping class you select during checkout. Please do not say you need them ASAP and then only select standard postage or Courier delivery as this will not speed things up. Postage is separate from published processing times. For fast processing, see below.

PRIORITY EXPRESS
We have introduced a Priority Express shipping option for those who need their place cards quickly. Your order will be pushed to the head of the queue for processing, printing, and dispatch! Shipping is via the fastest shipping option available for your post code (courier for mainland UK, Royal Mail for highlands and islands). Please note that we still need a minimum of 3 FULL working days (excluding weekends & holidays) to print & dispatch items plus 1 or 2 full working days for delivery, 3 or 4 to highlands & islands. We must also have all the information with the order to enable us to process it right away including spreadsheet, email address, contact mobile telephone number, and a full & accurate shipping address.
Please contact us in advance if you are unsure of the timeframe and we’ll let you know if we are able to accept your order.
Please also allow for delays with delivery. Once dispatched, it is out of our hands. Delays can happen whether it’s with a courier or with Royal Mail. Please factor this in when requesting a priority order as we cannot accept responsibility for this. Please also note that you are responsible for being available to receive a tracked delivery. You are able to change delivery details via the messages you receive directly from the delivery company on text/email.

We have been inundated with customers requesting their orders ASAP and only selecting 2nd class postage. For this reason, we have removed the 2nd class option and introduced a Priority Express option. Unless the Priority Express shipping option is selected, we need the full published processing time to dispatch orders. We always do our best to get orders out sooner, but this is not always possible. We hope you understand.
Remember to provide a valid email address as well as a mobile telephone number for delivery purposes if you’ve selected one of the courier/tracked shipping options.

SHIPPING

We use Royal Mail 1st Class delivery for most orders. Please select an upgrade option if you need your order sooner than the Etsy estimated date. Royal Mail 1st Class post takes a quoted 1 - 2 working days after dispatch but can take considerably longer. It is not guaranteed so if you need your items in under 3 weeks, please select a tracked postage method. If you would like to come and collect your order in person from our office in Blackminster, Evesham, we will be happy to refund you any postage paid upon collection. Any priority express option paid is non-refundable.
There are 2 aspects of the order that can be speeded up: Processing Time & Shipping. The options are:
Courier 48* – This option is a faster shipping option AFTER the published processing time. Shipping is either 48hr courier delivery with full tracking or Royal Mail Tracked 48 with Signature. It does not speed up the processing time.
Priority Express* – This option is for fast processing time AND fast shipping time. This is the option to select if you need your order in under 2 weeks (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays). Shipping is either 24hr/Next Day courier delivery with full tracking or Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Signature, depending on your postcode and when the order is dispatched (couriers don’t deliver on weekends). Please allow for delays by shipping companies.

Personalised items cannot be returned. We will only accept returns if there was a mistake made by us. It is your responsibility to check every detail on the names you send as we copy and paste your list without checking spelling/punctuation/repetition etc. We may ask for photographic evidence if ever a return is requested. Priority express payments are non-refundable!
