Kansa (Bronze) has its origins in India around 300 BC. It is an alloy of 80% copper and 20% Tin. In ayurveda kansa is considered a healing metal with amazing qualities and is used to make tableware, meditation bowls and gongs. As a massage tool, kansa is understood to draw harmful toxins and acids from your system/relives stress and balance the 3 doshas.
The Kansa wand has a teak wood handle and a kansa dome which is beaten in this shape by hand. The different size and shapes of the dome are made to fit the different contours of your body. e.g. the foot massager has a flatter dome for smooth long strokes along the base of your feet whereas the face massager has a smaller dome with a greater curvature in order to fit the contours of your face.
