In a Nutshell . . . this is a small crossbody bag designed as an extra pocket for a few essentials. Surface pattern and texture comes from the beautifully simple shell stitch. And there's a feature button closure for just in case!
The bag is approximately 22cm tall x 18cm wide + shoulder strap. The pattern includes advice for resizing the bag and the strap can be made shorter, longer or you can miss it out altogether if you want to make an IPad or kindle wallet instead.
Only basic skills are required to make your bag including forming chains, SC, HDC and DC. The bag is crocheted continuously in the round using DC for the shell stitch on the main part of the bag, finishing with SC for the contrasting top edge and buttonhole.
The pattern gives full instructions, images and details of the materials I used, but Ask a Question if you;d like to more before you try.
This is a pattern to crochet your own bag; not a finished one, but I'm happy to crochet one for you if you don't crochet.
Please note crochet patterns are written in English using US crochet terminology, and supplied in PDF format.
They are made-to-order so not available as an instant download, but the files will be available for you to download within 48 hours of placing an order, and normally much sooner. You'll receive notification when they're ready.
