A handmade willow bird feeder for seeded fat balls. Can also be used as a basket to hold small items. The type of birds that are attracted to this type of feeder are blue tits, great tits, sparrows, starlings, blackbirds, black caps and woodpeckers.

I made the feeder using traditional basketry techniques with the bark on willow grown in Somerset.

Please specify if you would like the feeder to be a particular length, otherwise I make them about 55-60cm in length including handle and about 11-12cm in diameter across the widest point with opening 7-8cm. It would fit 6-8 fat balls.

It's best to keep a willow bird feeder out of the weather, under protection of a tree or a roof. To care for your bird feeder I recommend applying furniture oil.
