A beautiful winter barn owl reduction linoprint design in a folk inspired style. An owl in a cold, wintry countryside scene.

The barn owl is an easily recognisable bird, with it’s heart shaped pale face and golden buff feathers. If you see one hunting at dusk, they look very ghostly. It’s scientific name is Tyto alba which literally means ‘white owl’.

This is an original, hand printed, hand cut, four colour reduction linoprint. Each colour layer is printed from the same piece of lino. Lino is carved away for each layer and colour is added on top of the last, which means I can’t go back to print more.

Printed on 145 gsm white zerkhall paper. The paper is approx 39cm long and 27 cm wide. The colour print measures approximately 26cm x 18cm. Choose which finish you like. You can have it mounted in white mountboard so it will fit into a standard 12 x 16 inch frame or you can have it unmounted.

Limited edition of only 10.

All art prints are my own design and are handmade. Expect little variations in texture and some distinctive impressions within each handprinted limited edition. This means every print is unique. My process isn’t high tech. Designs are created on my living room table with a baren and the back of a wooden spoon. Be aware you may not receive the exact print that is pictured.

Every piece is numbered, titled and signed. Prints are mailed flat in protected packaging for safe delivery.

I ship from the UK. EU and Overseas recipients may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee before they can claim their parcel. These charges depend on your country of residence.
