Many moons ago in the 1990s I worked part time as a typist for the wildlife film cameraman Ronald Eastman when he was working on a film script about the Saxon Queen Elfrida - sadly he died before this could come to fruition and it was put to bed but it was always there in the back of my mind. Since publishing some of my own books I had gained the confidence to finally do something to honour him - so I have done my own take on the story of Queen Elfrida - she was a real Queen in our history who lived in Amesbury and Wherwell in the late 900s. I have written a fictional book with true history intertwined. I hope I have made Ron proud - I didn’t want to finish it because it was a path I had been following since the 90s.
