Aged Peony Pink Washable Kraft Paper

VEGAN LEATHER FABRIC

A sheet of Aged Washable Kraft Paper for crafting and sewing.

It is a plant-based material: esters of plants and cellulose have been combined with latex to produce durable, versatile, and washable paper. It has a wrinkled worn sort of look and feel. You might recognise this fabric as labels sewn onto denim jeans products. It is cut like paper and sewn like leather. It is washable in warm water using a mild soap or detergent. It is Biodegradable.

Uses:
You can sew literally anything from this paper: bag, backpack, sack, wallet, phone case, box, plant pot... It can also be used to combine with other materials replacing leather among others.

Dimensions:
1 pc. = approximately 47x47cm. If you buy more than one of the same type/colour - we try to send them in one piece. We cut the sheets by hand when packing the order. The maximum size of the sheet is approx. 47x142cm (i.e. 3 sheets approx 47x47cm). This is because when posting it comes as a tube and the max length is restricted. The thickness of each sheet is 0.55 mm. Should you be okay with them being posted folded instead, please message us and we should be able to arrange for a bigger piece to be sent to you.

Sewing:
We sew this fabric damp as it becomes easier to work with. Use sharp needles for leather or jeans 100-110, synthetic threads 40-60, and a wide stitch. This paper has left and right sides. The left side has slight perforation marks in order to distinguish them.

Certifications:
It is an environmentally friendly and sustainable material, accredited by both the Forestry Stewardship Council (SCS) and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. It is widely recognised as a vegan-friendly material and an alternative to leather. Manufactured in Europe (Germany or Italy depending on the lot).

Printing:
UV printing and screen printing perform well.
