THE SUNFLOWER IS THE NATIONAL FLOWER OF UKRAINE AND ST SOPHIA'S IS THE NAME OF THE CATHEDRAL IN THE CAPITAL CITY OF KYIV. ALL PROFITS FROM THE SALE OF THIS PATTERN WILL BE SENT TO THE UNHCR HUMANITARIAN EFFORT TO AID THOSE FLEEING THE CONFLICT IN THEIR HOME COUNTRY OF UKRAINE.

This pattern is for you to make a Sophia of your own using your own stash of yarn. It includes details of the yarns I used to make her if you wish to make an exact copy. I used DK weight cotton yarn with a 2.5mm crochet hook. My Sophia measures around 34cm tall.

Sophia was made using the amigurumi technique of crocheting in the round and the pattern is written in UK crochet terms. The pattern includes clear instructions, photos and illustrations.
