This Plastic Bag Holder was Handwoven by Ben, who is an Independent Artist at the Options Weaving Studio in Hammond, Louisiana. The OPTIONS Weaving Studio was established on Oct. 9, 2012 as an enrichment activity for people with disabilities. The program was such a success that it is now an OPTIONS business that provides meaningful work for men and women with disabilities. At our studio, weaving is more than a hand craft – it’s an art form. There are no rules, no mistakes and no limits on imagination. Our weavers are creating unique, inspired and amazing pieces, but they are also gaining a sense of purpose, self-esteem and joy. We are excited and proud to share their beautiful creations with you.
