The Big Hand Roller is a texture roller for clay artists. The roller is deeply carved, has a unique design, and releases well from clay. MKM rollers are made from wood that is precision carved to make deep beautiful impressions. The BHR rollers are beveled carved, allowing them to release easily from clay. Because of their smaller size and lightweight, BHR rollers are perfect for rolling vertically up the walls of a thrown pot. Once the pattern is rolled rib the inside of the bowl to reshape the form. BHR rollers also work great on slabs. The ends of the rollers are rounded to allow patterns to blend with multiple rolls. For long rolls, the MKM Roller Board can help create long smooth rolls and avoid knuckle bumps.

MKM wood tools are finished with oil to ensure durability over many years of use.  The rollers are easily cleaned with water and a soft toothbrush. As with all wood tools, don't let them sit in water for long periods of time.

The texture rollers are designed for use with any clay, including polymer, and metal clays. Also, MKM hand rollers are finished with food-grade oil and can be rolled over fondant and dough to create unique impressions.
