Inspired by botanical shapes and ceramic tiles, the Hestia blanket is made of tapestry crochet squares which combine to create a truly beautiful pattern.
A sumptuous border frames the “tiles”, continuing some of the tapestry crochet elements of the squares into it.
Did you know that Hestia was the Greek goddess of the hearth? She looked after the home and family. By making a Hestia Blanket, you can bring something wonderful into your home that you and your family will cherish for years to come.
As always, the pattern includes full written instructions, comprehensive pattern notes, photos and a chart for making the blanket.
The pattern is provided as two pdf files for you to download: one in UK crochet terms, the other in US crochet terms, so you can use whichever you prefer.
It also includes links to some handy video tutorials for special techniques used in the blanket.
The finished blanket measures 105 x 105 cm and uses the following yarn:

CC2: 2 x 50 g balls of Rust (388)

However, you could substitute for other 4-ply yarns, or go up to a DK yarn or even thicker.
