There's nothing sugary and cute about these faeries! They are wild and grungy and have plenty of attitude: Steampunk meets Shakespeare!
Each one-off figure is handmade in Glastonbury, Somerset from an assortment of beads, nails, wire, metal eyelets, chains, plastic packaging and scraps of paper, decorated in shimmering acrylic paint.
Their arms can be posed and they will stand up if they're in the mood!
Every faery comes in a decorated craft box, showing both the artist and faery's name, so would make a unique gift.
The Glastonfaeries measure about 9.5cm tall (3.75 inches) and the presentation boxes are 10.3cm (4 inches) square x 3.5cm (1.4 inches) deep.
Each is based on a character from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream or (in Ariel's case) The Tempest and no two will ever be quite the same.
There are currently 5 to choose from: Puck, Moth, Mustardseed, Peaseblossom and Ariel. Please see individual illustrations to make your choice.
As you can see from one of the photos, they look wonderful displayed in A Case of Magic, available at this link: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/771568091/diorama-box-carry-case-for-fantasy
