This pendant features a finely carved statue of Buddha Shakyamuni n relief on the front and the mantra of compassion "om mani peme hung" engraved on the back.

I made this pendant myself, by hand in sterling 925 silver. I make all my jewelry to the highest possible quality to last a lifetime.

SYMBOLISM
This statue was inspired by the statue of Buddha Shakyamuni at Bodhgaya, India.
This mantra "om mani peme hum" embodies the compassion and blessing of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. The six syllables are said to purify and transform the six negative emotions of of pride, jealousy, desire, ignorance, greed and anger.

Lovely work. The loop in the back was too small for a chain, but I placed it in a frame next to a photo of Dilgo Khyenste Rinpoche. A perfect place where I can see it. Simon is very talented!
