Hi Guys,

I hand paint sets of Russian stacking dolls using acrylic paint and gloss varnish. These dolls can be inspired by a theme, hobby, passion, a favourite band or movie, or can be based on your own family and friends.

I ask for clear reference photos of each person, along with suggestions for clothes and an 'object' for each person (perhaps relating their hobbies of quirks). These resources help me to make sure the dolls are recognizable and full of specific details relating to you and your commission.

The process can take me around 3 weeks to complete (depending on how many commissions I have on the go), so be sure to get your requests in in plenty of time.

It's a really lovely process which allows you to be involved in the creativity and results in beautiful and unique dolls that make the most marvelously special and personal gifts to give to loved ones and friends. Your dolls will be completely original and one off.

Please do look at my item photos for reference to my artistic style. It is not photo-realism, but is a more characterized style with plenty of home made charm. If you are after a perfect photo-finish, mine is not the style for you. However, if you are after something made with real individuality, charm and care, then you are in the right place!

Sarah is beyond lovely to work with and her artistry is campy and irreverent in the best possible way. I reached out to Sarah for a last minute gift to delight and mortify a colleague and boy did she over-deliver! She had a tight deadline, limited photos, and even less personal information and what she came up with is astounding!
