We supply the WildPod Mini flat-packed with simple to follow instructions. It is a lovely gift for people who enjoy their gardens and gardening, especially if you're looking for an unusual gift for people who are difficult to buy for. The planter is lightweight and crafted in the UK with care for easy assembly and installation. You will need to add small quantities of topsoil and other habitat materials, then plant your favourite plants such as pollinators, bulbs or herbs and watch the wildlife move in. Many of our customers also install wildlife cameras and have sent us some lovely videos and photos, which you can see on Instagram and Facebook @bioscapesuk

Our WildPod Mini was carefully designed to offer protective spaces that mirror the habitats chosen by species in the wild and is beautifully printed to show you which species you can attract in each space. The inter-connected habitats allow species to interact as they would in nature, all within a self-contained ecosystem.

A feature that is unique to the WildPod Mini is the ‘rainwater catcher’ – a small trough in the top planting area that collects water to feed the 'rot hole', wet habitat reservoir and amphibian refuge.

The wet habitat reservoir tray shown in the photographs is included, however our lovely handmade hedgehog is for illustration purposes only.

You will require the following additional habitat materials, which are not included but can be sourced from most garden centres:

Topsoil/compost: approx. 80L
Reservoir habitat – expanded clay: approx. 10L - pea gravel could also be used.
Deadwood habitat material: approx. 6L - you could collect twigs and leaf litter from around your garden
Bee nesting tubes (e.g. bamboo): approx. 15 to 20, 150mm in length
