Leaf Button

This little leaf-shaped button measures approximately 1 1/2 inches by 1 7/8 inches and is 1/4 inch thick. Unlike most of the others, its double sided. At first, I'd thought to paint the back green to replace the glaze that was removed during the final sanding. But I decided I rather liked the look as it was and appreciated having the option of a totally different side to choose from.

Handmade by yours truly. I am a small batch potter who enjoys making one-off creations of all sorts and sending them out into the world. In between working on larger pieces, I enjoy creating these unique little accent buttons. They're fabulous on coats, scarves, chunky sweaters, fiber crafts and anything that needs that little pop of added interest. They also make great journal closures and pocket tokens! Durable (and waterproof!), the backsides of each button are sanded smooth to prevent snagging delicate fabrics and to feel good in the hand. I can't wait to see what you'll do with them!
