This listing is for a single, handmade, 300ml ceramic mug in our smooth blue glaze. Each piece is unique and will have different markings within the glaze which are to be embraced.

Care

Ceramics are fired to 1260 degrees and therefore are suitable to be microwaved or washed in a dishwasher.

How it is made

All ceramics is handmade in my pottery studio in Berkshire, UK. The pottery is made in small batches of around 30 pieces and if carefully formed over a two day period. After the pieces have dried for a week, they are then fired to 1000 degrees Celsius in my kiln. I then mix my glazes from powders before dipping and pouring the ceramics to create beautiful glaze patterns. The ceramics is then fired again to 1260 degrees Celsius.

Very nice looking coasters and are the rustic style that I like. However they’re a little small, the base of an Emma Bridgewater mug is slightly larger than the coasters so you have to be v precise when putting your mug down. Also, there’s only three protective feet on the coasters which makes them wobbly. I added more myself to stop the wobble. One of the coasters was slightly convex, so not good for cups or glasses with drinks in them, I’ve put that one to the bottom of the pile.
