Tutorial for Saturn Box geometric beaded box

This is a tutorial for The Saturn Box, a geometric beadwork box based on a near-miss Johnson solid polyhedron. Originally made in 2020, the inspiration for this piece came from images of the aurora on Saturn. It combines a number of different geometric peyote components - triangles, warped squares, warped pentagons, warped hexagons and more - to make a complex geometric piece.

It is suitable for intermediate beaders looking for a challenge, who are familiar with peyote stitch with increases and maintaining a consistent tension.

The finished beadwork is approximately 11 cm in diameter and 8 cm high, and it uses approximately 57g of size 11 delicas in total.

The tutorial is written in English and is 91 pages with extensive diagrams and photographs for each step. It contains a materials list and instructions for making the individual peyote components as well as detailed instructions for assembling the box.
