Our HUMBUG stencil reminds us of mint humbugs, hence its name! It would sit well in a boho styled room but also just as well in a more modern minimalist setting too.

The Wall stencil comes with a top edging stencil to help create a clean starting edge at the top of the wall. Stencil the top of the wall first with the top edging stencil then use the larger stencil to work your way down and across the wall.

SPEED UP YOUR PROJECT
If you have a larger project then maybe buy 2 stencils and save time. Stencils need cleaning after several applications as paint builds up. This causes bleed under the stencil creating blotchy lines which you do not want!
To clean the stencil we recommend soaking in warm soapy water until the paint easily rubs off, no vigorous scrubbing needed! Soak one stencil clean while you continue your project with the other stencil. Check out our current multi purchase discounts.

LESS IS MORE!
The biggest mistake most people make when stencilling is overloading the brush or roller with paint. This will inevitably lead to paint bleeding underneath the stencil and causing blurry edges. You will be surprised how little paint is actually needed! Don’t overload paint onto the brush/roller and rub most of the paint off onto a piece of card before applying to the stencil. Practice first on some spare paper or card before attempting your project.

Arrived way quicker than what was scheduled. The item is well packaged, and really easy to lay flat. This particular pattern’s comer piece is a little flimsy because of the nature of the pattern itself, because the cutouts are a lot and mostly linear, it took me a little more effort to secure and keep it straight, but overall it really works well. I should be able to reuse it in future too.
