The ZEROWASTE SARA SWEATER is a comfy sweater, with a loose fit, that shapes nicely around the shoulders. The sweater is knitted from the top down and the raglan increases are being made on each side of the decorative cables. The ZEROWASTE SARA sweater is knitted in only scrap and preloved yarn. You can use all kinds of quality yarn, wool, cotton, acrylic etc. In a zerowaste project, the only rule is, there are no rules. All scraps, short and kong can be used. That is the Main idea with ZEROWASTE projects, to create something nice and new, from material that otherwise would have been wasted. The pattern describes in detail the scrap technique that is used. ZEROWASTE knitting is a very ecofriendly way to create something new, and with a very unique design.

You can, of course, also use all new yarn to knit the sweater with all new yarn.

MATERIAL

YARN
Scrap an preloved yarn, appr 21 ounces/ 600 gr.

KNITTING NEEDLES
US 10/ 7 mm and US 8/ 5 mm. Cable needle.

GAUGE
14 stiches = 4 inch/ 10 cm, in stockinette knit, using US 10/ 7 mm needles.
