This is a PATTERN to make these delightful pumpkin jacks for the fall season! These jacks have 2 sides (front and back) and are free-standing with a boxed bottom. You will create a muslin bag (sack) – fill it with sand, polyfil, a stick stem and then gather the top around the stem. These jacks are so easy to make and even more fun to decorate. They are painted orange and sanded for a prim touch. The jacks themselves range in height from 5” to 10”. If you add the spider or scaredy cat, they will be taller (12” – 14”). They are decorated with sticks, fabrics, netting, raffia, felt and buttons! This pattern includes detailed directions to make scaredy cat and the comical little spider and his web.
