Make a little person in your life her very own fairy tale in a tin! This PDF pattern will show you how to craft a tiny poseable princess doll with a lofty bed of mattresses and her own fancy closet, all scaled to fit inside two recycled Altoids tins. Close the tins, drop them in the pretty drawstring bag which is included in the pattern, and you are ready to travel with your Wee Princess Pea.

The Wee Princess Pea pattern features:

- 3.5 inch poseable princess doll in a lacy nightgown
- Royal wool felt robe and crown
- Blanket, pillow and mattresses with a tiny built-in pea
- Pipe cleaner ladder
- Royal closet with hanger and mirror from a recycled tin
- Royal bed with wooden legs and storage compartment from a recycled tin
- Fabric drawstring bag to put it all in for play time on the go

I've included lots of tips and tricks for easy construction -- No need to be afraid of the tiny scale! This pattern is written for folks who do have some sewing and crafting experience and who are familiar with common sewing terms. This is not a beginner's project.

NOTE: This toy design is quite small and may present a choking hazard. This is not a toy designed for children under the age of three!

Included in this original 24-page pattern are clean, digitally drawn actual sized pattern pieces, detailed step-by-step instructions with color photos and clear diagrams, and a handy resources section with hand stitching tips and vendor links.

Materials used to make the Wee Princess Pea are commonly available and you probably have some of it in your craft stash already! They include: scraps of cotton fabric, wool-blend felts, gold trims, cotton pipe cleaners, decorative paper, wooden beads, embroidery floss and Altoids tins. A complete list of materials is in the photo of the pattern page.

A combination of machine sewing and some hand sewing are used. Freezer paper is also used in some steps to make construction simple and easy.

This pattern is in PDF format on 8.5 x 11 paper, so you can print it from your regular printer at home on standard paper or card stock, as many times as you need for personal use.

Fun project! Instead of Altoid tins, I use a plastic crayon box (Wal-Mart $1). Everything fits in the 1 box! I had to change the size of the bedding and wall paper, but all the other pattern pieces worked great. I also, lengthen the nightgown by 1/2" and added a 1/2" to the sleeve and length of the bathrobe.

I haven't made this yet but the instructions look just as good as her 12 Days of Christmas which I have been so impressed with. Princess and the Pea is a favourite fairy tale for me so I couldn't resist.

I love this designer's patterns. She holds your hand all the way through and if you think, "oh, I could never make that", you'd be mistaken! Everything I have sewn from Larissa is fantastic and people are amazed at the terrific details in each pattern design. Can't wait to see more from this designer. She's amazing! Well what fun I had making this ‘wee’ ornament. I only had a problem with the hair - my fault I just didn’t consider what I was doing. It did mean I had to make a second princess to mirror my gorgeous granddaughter’s long hair but not a big deal. Super instructions - just do what you’re told!
