. I love the shape of these shoe trees. They are made from aluminium with the front ends shaped to fit into the toes of the shoes and the main body fashioned from a tightly coiled spring that bends to fit into the shoe.

They are engraved with the makers mark "Vic Tree...a pun on the fact that they are shoe trees, but also sounds like a post war name.

These are useful for keeping shoes tidily in shape and would be a fun addition to a dressing room, shoe or gentleman's accessories shop. They have lovely tactile metal smooth ball shaped handles and I could just see these being used as part of a fun wind chime or chandelier or part of some kind of Steam Punk installation. Great for staging a retro shoe store, shoe makers studio, workroom or any other workroom for that matter.Even if you don't use them as intended I've seen them used in lots of other ways. As unusual book ends or fun garden tool and even read about using them as biscuit or sweet scoops for a crazy Halloween Party, or vintage wedding.

The trees are marked 6 x 7 and measure approximately 11in/28cm in length and 3 1/4in/ 8.5cm at the widest point.

Pair of size 6 x 7 vintage of Vic-tree aluminium sprung shoe trees/lasts made in England
