These pattern instructions come with all the details for you to make two versions of this crafty and cuddly fox, either with or without a smart little sweater.

The pattern is quite straightforward and suitable for beginner/intermediate crocheters. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi. They are written in English using US crochet terms, and the list of abbreviations includes the UK alternatives. The pattern is a downloadable PDF file and you will need Adobe Reader to open it. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have as you are making it.

Materials:
Use double knitting (DK) weight yarn. Worsted weight yarn is a little thicker than DK but can easily be substituted and the pattern will still be in proportion, though you may need to use a little more and go up a hook size. If you can find a yarn that has at least some wool or alpaca fibre in it, it will give a nice natural effect.

Black yarn, approx 25g.
Russet yarn, approx 75g.
Cream yarn, approx 15g.
Yarn for sweater, approx 30g (reduce russet yarn to approx 45g).
Stuffing.
1 pair 13.5 mm amber safety eyes.
Tapestry needle.
3.5mm hook (US E hook).

Finished size approximately 30 cm (12") tall.
