We wanted the book was to be inclusive of every family type. Our memory book is suitable for birth children and adopted children. It is also a baby book for same sex parents and straight, single or coupled, or for children being raised by extended families.

Gorgeous book that makes no assumptions about parental gender or the route to parenthood, so especially good for gay or lesbian families, and families who are adoptive.

This book very cool and unique. I was able to use it in my particular situation as a single mom. It does not have specific references to types of family, which makes it ideal. The little drawings throughout are super cute. I wouldn't mind a little more blank space for general commentary or more items specific to infant but overall I would definitely recommend this baby book.
