If you ever saw a slow loris video on YouTube or Facebook, and thought you wanted one, well now you can have your own slow loris in the form of this beanie bummed adorable 10" high plushie! This little plushie is so soft and cuddly and is waiting for a home with you!! This is the only type of loris you should have in your home and can be a talking point about why slow lorises should not be kept as pets. This slow loris design has been lovingly crafted, with drawings and models going back and forth to the manufacturer, by Little Fireface Project director Anna Nekaris. Its features are just like those of a real Critically Endangered Javan slow loris.
This adorable slow loris plushie is modeled after one of our wild boys, Yogi (as seen in the photo), that lives wild and free in the forests of Cipaganti. West Java, Indonesia. For more than a decade, the Little Fireface Project team has been studying these animals, and learning about all the reasons they are essential to the forests where they are found.
More about the Javan slow loris
Javan slow lorises are one of the world's top 25 most endangered primates. They weigh about 1 kg, or similar to a bag of sugar! They are not as sweet as they look however - slow lorises are the only venomous primates. This is why, in order to make them 'suitable' pets, traders cruelly cut out their teeth in inhumane ways. You can help save the slow loris from extinction by supporting the Little Fireface Project; by never liking or sharing illegal and cruel YouTube videos; and informing your friends about the plight of slow lorises and the many other animals with whom they share their forest home.
