A unique, one-off Steampunk necklace with an armillery sphere pendant, which I made out of oxidised-brass-laminated cog wheels and a sea sediment jasper bead, to represent the planet Earth, spinning amid the celestial workings of the universe. This will look great with black tops or navy blue; it will also look great in the summer for rock festivals, worn with sleeveless black tops that show off punk or Goth tattoos.

The chain of his pendant is 28 and a half inches long (72.3cm), and the blue sea sediment jasper bead is an 8mm round. The widest point of the pendant (the widest cog wheel) is approximately 1 inch, or the size of a UK 10 pence piece. Please see photos to get more of an idea of scale. The clasp is 8mm in width. It will not need to be undone at all because of the long length of the chain, unless you wish to occasionally hang the pendant on a leather cord.

A leather or hemp cord with same shade of brass clasp can be made to order as an extra if you wish, at a later date, or ordered to be sent on the same postage. Sea Sediment Jasper, also known as Impression Jasper, is formed at the bottom of the ocean; which may explain why the beautiful patterns on it sometimes resemble swirls of foam on the ocean. It comes in a variety of colours, as this type of jasper takes dye very easily. Amazing psychedelic effects can be achieved by using several bright coloured examples of these swirly-patterned stones in one necklace. Blue is the most beautiful, because of its resemblance to sea foam patterns.

Blue Sea Sediment Jasper (also known as Impression Jasper or Variscite) is said help the wearer to find inner tranquility, love and compassion. It is a great stone for emotional healing, and some say it can align the physical and "light" body (the astral plane body; the soul).
