This photo is from a collection of 9,391 images titled 'World Travel' by British photographer James Dearden Holmes (1873-1937). Holmes travelled the world for three years and his trip has been dated from immigration records to 1925-1927. All of the images were taken with a stereoscopic camera and most of the photos from this world trip are not available anywhere else. Holmes travelled extensively across Asia and the Americas on this trip so if there are any particular places you are interested in seeing please get in touch with any questions or requests.

PROCESS: These prints are created from the scanned stereoscopic negatives and we have done very little editing on them so they are like the original photos from almost 100 years ago. Please be aware that the image in the listing photo, including any imperfections or lack of focus, will be the image you receive.

PAPER: We use Epson Premium Semigloss Photo Paper 251 g/m2)

INK: We use archival Epson inks. All photos should be displayed out of direct sunlight to preserve them.

SIZES:
We offer 3 print sizes, two of which are also available matted and framed (see details below)
S - Small (5x8 Inches)
S - Small Mounted & Matted (8x10 inches including the matte)
M - Medium (8x11 inches)
M - Medium Mounted & Matted (11x14 inches including the matte)
L - Large (11x16 inches)
Some photos may have some white borders when printed as they do not all fit modern print sizes, so the sizes given are approximate. There will be no white borders if you select a matted or matted and framed option. The watermark will not appear in your final print.

MOUNTING AND FRAMING OPTIONS:
We offer two matte colour options – Antique White and Black
We use archival matting methods so your photo will be held in place with photo corners and will not be fixed to either the matte or the backing board. The photo image may be slightly cropped when matted and framed.

All frame options include mounting and matting and the size chosen (Small or Medium as listed above) corresponds to the internal dimensions of the frame, so the overall frame size will be larger, depending on which frame type is selected.

To have your photo mounted and framed please select the size and frame option you want in the style dropdown – if you want a photo only or a matted photo only you can select those options too with the size you want (S, M or L)

Choose from 8 wooden frame options. All of our frames are made in the UK from solid wood (usually pine) and have a varnish or paint finish. See listing photos for details of frame options and an example of how your print would look framed.

Cross-Brushed effect finish - Gold & Champagne Silver - 22mm wide and 13mm deep
Black and White finish - 20mm wide and 15mm deep
Dark Rosewood finish - 35mm wide and 15mm deep
Walnut Gold Finish - 28 mm wide and 14mm deep
Ornate Gold and Silver Frames - 57mm wide and 36mm deep

Please note that as wood is a natural material the colour of the finish and grain may vary slightly from the photos.

All matted and framed photo prices incorporate the increased cost of postage and packaging and shipping costs are kept at one flat rate, however many photos you purchase.

POSTAGE & PACKAGING: All photos will be packed securely in either a frame pack, strong cardboard envelope or mailing tube, depending on what option is chosen. We charge one flat fee for however many photos you order. UK orders will be sent by 2nd class, with an option to upgrade to 1st class signed for or special delivery. All international orders are sent by tracked mail where possible (for certain destinations Royal Mail doesn’t offer tracked services).
