Raven necklace, solid silver with ruby eyes, double sided pendant.

Ravens represent the largest species of crows and are seen throughout the world in their various guises. Ravens can be very long-lived, they usually travel in mated pairs and although relationships between ravens are often quarrelsome, they demonstrate considerable devotion to their families.

The ravens’ habitat of rugged cliffs and wild landscapes has seen them promoted as a powerful symbol of mythology and folklore. There are several references to ravens in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. Ravens feature heavily in Norse, Celtic and Indigenous American mythology. They are an aspect of Mahakala in Bhutanese mythology and are also mentioned in the Quran.
In my own home town of London a legend developed that the Tower of London will fall down if the ravens kept there ever fly away.

This raven pendant is made from solid sterling silver. The silver has been oxidised to represent the raven’s black feathers and natural red rubies have been set in its eyes. The raven pendant has a wingspan of one and a half inches, that’s a little under 4cm, and is supplied in its own gift box.

This piece of jewellery is supplied with a waxed cotton cord, if you would prefer to buy a chain to wear it on please visit the chains section of my shop: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ArgentAqua?ref=hdr_shop_menu§ion_id=19320750

You can see a short youtube video of the silver and ruby Raven pendants I make, with the methods and mythology behind them at: https://youtu.be/XLkzizmSTjE

Delivery policies

All orders are insured against loss or damage while in transit, I send orders using tracked & signed shipping whenever possible.

Estimated delivery dates are simply a guide (and can be a little bit optimistic). I cannot guarantee delivery times myself, but shipping to the US or mainland Europe typically only takes between five and ten working days.
Delivery times to other countries (including Canada, Mexico and some developing countries) can vary dramatically. Shipping usually takes a little longer around the holiday seasons.

Unless asked to do otherwise, I will ship to the addresses provided with your Etsy order, so please make sure your Etsy account details are up to date.

Although in many countries, including the United States and EU, you will not be asked to pay import tax on the majority of my designs, you may wish to familiarise yourself with your own country’s policies on importing goods before ordering, as I'm afraid I can't be held responsible for any import duty, or orders delayed by customs or security checks.
Neither can I assume an order has been lost in transit until it has been missing for at least thirty days.
