This panel is from my series of stained glass produced in 2016. The panel is inspired by one of the portraits of Harry Clarke. I have reinterpreted to add new meanings by incorporating my own visual symbolism. The main idea revolves around the female figure in connection with the tangible and symbolic 'butterfly' and the hand that is about to grasp it. The little roundels that are part of historical stained glass windows... and used for decoration in borders surrounding main images. These have been overlapped all over the image creating planet like shapes... a made up universe.

Note: To give an idea of the nearest possible colours, Pictures are taken on the light box as well as against natural light. Although camera doesn't always justify true beauty of stained glass which can only be experienced in flesh.
