The name Ar-wen means 'noble maiden'. She bore the sobriquet "Evenstar" (or Evening Star), as the most beautiful of the last generation of High Elves in Middle-earth.

This beautiful Arwen-inspired dress flares out dramatically from the upper waist and the sleeves hang in soft waves at each side in true renaissance style.
This particular dress was made in heavy black cotton trimmed with black faux silk, although the dress can equally be made in velvet on request. The sleeves are in lined voile with caps, arm bands and neck detail in gold damask. The upper sleeves are in velvet-patterned voile and finished with burgundy ribbon. All seams are finished with an overlocker.

The length of the dress can be varied, depending whether you want an extravagant train sweeping the floor or a more practical version. Likewise, the sleeves can be made fuller if required.
