Description

*PLEASE NOTE - THIS LISTING IS FOR A CROCHET PATTERN NOT THE FINISHED ITEM.*

These pattern instructions come with all the details for you to this cute and friendly badger in two versions, either with or without a warm sweater.

The pattern is fairly straightforward and suitable for intermediate crocheters. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi. They are written in English using US crochet terms, and the list of abbreviations includes the UK alternatives. The pattern is a downloadable PDF file and you will need Adobe Reader to open it. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have as you are making it.

Materials:
Use double knitting (DK) weight yarn. Worsted weight yarn is a little thicker than DK but can easily be substituted and the pattern will still be in proportion, though you may need to use a little more and go up a hook size. If you can find a yarn that has at least some wool or alpaca fibre in it, it will give a nice natural effect.

Charcoal (dark grey) or black yarn, approx 50g.
Grey yarn, approx 50g.
Cream or white yarn, approx 25g.
Yarn for sweater, approx 30g (reduce grey yarn to approx 20g).
Small amount of black yarn for nose if using charcoal yarn.
Stuffing.
1 pair 12 mm brown safety eyes.
Tapestry needle.
3.5mm hook (US E hook).

Finished size approximately 28 cm (11") tall.

You can buy this pattern and my Bracken the Fox pattern together at a reduced price: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/484398012/blackberry-the-badger-and-bracken-the

Please read the listings carefully to be sure you understand what you are buying. I only sell patterns to make the crocheted amigurumi toys, not the finished toys themselves. If you have downloaded or received the PDF patterns, I cannot offer a return or refund.

Additional policies

Occasionally one of my patterns sells out - if you want to buy it just contact me and I will re-list it as soon as possible.

I am always working on writing up more patterns, so let me know if there are any you are interested in. Photos of most of the items I've made in the past are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/96575205@N00/

I also have lots of free patterns available. You can find them listed on my blog:

Or on Ravelry:

I'm generally unable to work on any custom orders for finished items, I'm afraid.
