The Kelpies, West Lothian by Kirsten Boston

This is a giclée print of the silhouette, in black & grey, of the The Kelpies, the largest equine sculptures in the world. Designed by sculptor Andy Scott, the Kelpies stand 30m tall and form a gateway at the eastern entrance to the Forth and Clyde canal in the newly created Helix. The Kelpies are a monument to horse powered heritage across Scotland.

These prints are created by firstly outlining the historical monument to create a silhouette, and then layering that artwork over a section of the specified area on a beautiful old map.

This print measures 17 x 17cm. We have a wide range of these prints covering many iconic buildings, monuments and statues from around our beautiful area of East Lothian, as well many famous landmarks from Scotland and the wider UK. A set of 4 framed Old Map Silhouettes hanging in a square formation (2 x 2) is a very striking design statement to enhance any wall, as are 3 (or 5) hanging side by side.

We use archive quality Canon inks on textured Fine Art paper to ensure quality & longevity in our giclée prints. All items in our shop are created and printed in our workshop near North Berwick, Scotland. This print is sold unmounted and unframed. It is protected by a cellophane sleeve and despatched in a board-backed envelope.
