Towel Day is celebrated, by The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fans, on the 25th May in tribute to Douglas Adams. On the 25th May each year fans carry a towel in honour of Adams, the first Towel Day was celebrated in 2001, 2 weeks after his death on the 11th May.
Washing Instructions
It is recommended to wash towels before use.
40 cotton. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low. 2 dot iron. Do not dry clean. Wash at 40 degrees. Wash dark colours together using detergents designed for colours. Do not use fabric conditioner (as this will coat the fibres with hydrophobic silicones and reduce absorbancy. To avoid bleaching by sunlight, dry out of direct sunlight.
