Bracelet Measuring Guide:
A basic guide on finding the correct bracelet measurement:
Using a soft flexible thin measuring tape (not a wide tape). Measure just in-front of the wrist bone on the side nearest to your hand, where a bracelet will be worn. It is recommended as a guide, to add between .65mm (1/4 of an inch) and 1.27cm (1/2 of an inch) - sometimes a little more (up to 3/4 of an inch) to this measurement depending on how you like to wear your bracelets, either a snug fit, standard fit, or loose fit. For example, my wrist measures 16.5cm tight and I wear 17.5cm, but I appreciate that everyone's wrists are different in size.
** If you don't have a thin tape measure, use a thin strip of paper, thin piece of string or ribbon. Use paper, ribbon or string which is approx 0.3mm to 0.5mm and wrap it around your wrist just in-front of the wrist-bone at the top of the hand. Whilst holding your hand down, let the paper/string or ribbon fall to the top of the hand where you will be most comfortable wearing your bracelet and mark with a pen. Lay out flat and measure, adding on 0.5cm, 1cm or 1.5cm where you feel is most comfortable, when re-testing where the bracelet will be worn at this size. This is your approximate size. Im afraid, I cannot be held responsible for incorrect sizes. The final size is at the discretion of the Customer's choice.
It is important to use a soft thin flexible tape measure, paper, string or ribbon, because it is the inside diameter of a bracelet which determines your size. It is not the outer diameter, nor the length of the bracelet (when laid out flat and measured against a ruler).
The reason for this, is due to the width of the different sized beads as they can take up valuable space on the inside circumference/diameter of the bracelet. Different size beads take up different amounts of space. As a result of this, the outcome is that the inside measurement of the bracelet, when worn, is smaller than the length when laid out flat and measured against a ruler. In order to obtain a good fit, your bracelet has to be made slightly bigger, so that your bracelet will fit.
Custom Sizes and Custom Designs, are non-returnable and ordered at the customer’s own risk, given their supplied measurement in respect of sizing. Please note, that all elasticated bracelets, will also by their nature, stretch slightly over time, by a couple of milli-meters. Rings will naturally stretch over time by approximately 1mm.
For all necklaces, a photograph item description is listed, in order to show the different lengths of necklaces when worn.
QUALITY:
* All items are hand made with lots of love. Extreme care is taken in the manufacturing process of all items. Due to the nature of the materials used, Alexia Jewellery Design kindly request that extreme care is taken when placing or removing items of Jewellery made with Superior Stretch Elastic. It is recommended that your Jewellery is carefully rolled on and off. Items are made with superior quality stretch elastic and over stretching and tugging at one side of the bracelet or ring to remove the item/s, can unfortunately on rare occasions, cause them to snap. Accidental damage as a result of over-stretching, tugging and or snapping is not covered under "normal wear and tear".
** If an item of Jewellery develops a fault, such as a cracked piece of material and or a clearly notifiable design fault forms within the item of Jewellery, please do get in touch and I will do my utmost to put things right (excluding jump rings).
PLEASE NOTE:
* A number of locking jump rings are used within my designs and therefore may open slightly with wear and tear/knocks. May I kindly ask, that you regularly check your jump rings and place pressure onto them to ensure that they are fully closed. Should they open due to accidental damage, this is not classed as a manufacturing fault.
** All elastic Jewellery pieces are knotted carefully and extra protection is added to the knot in the form of superior Jewellery glue/cement. Elastic by its nature will naturally stretch over time by approximately 1mm for rings and 1-2mm for bracelets, therefore please bear this in mind as it will not be classed as a manufacturing fault.
*** Sterling silver as a result of the manufacturing and cleaning process, will naturally show fine hairline scratches, which become more prone with wear. This is not classed as a manufacturing fault.
JEWELLERY CARE GUIDE & INFORMATION RELATING TO POSSIBLE ALLERGIES.
* Please ensure that your Jewellery items DO NOT come into contact with sulphur, skin creams, water, body lotion, chlorine, perfume, hairspray, deodorant, acidic skin ph, and other such chemicals as this may cause the finish of the beads, semi-precious stones, crystals, glass, findings and sterling silver to tarnish.
** It is recommended that you store your Jewellery carefully in a Jewellery box or tin and regularly clean your pieces, with a sterling silver Jewellery cloth for maximum longevity. You may also wish to clean your jewellery using lukewarm soapy water and a soft brush, but please do ensure that your jewellery is never fully submerged. I would NOT recommend the use of silver polish and silver dip as this may destroy the delicate oxidised detailing within some of the jewellery. Please do not allow your jewellery to come into contact with harsh chemicals, such as ammonia, bleach, chlorine and salt water.
*** Kindly remove jewellery prior to carrying out cleaning chores, bathing and swimming. Elasticated Jewellery and all other Jewellery, should not be worn for bed.
**** Silver is the highest reflective metal of all. That means when it is polished it reflects back 95% of the light which strikes it, making it look beautiful and very bright. It is a noble metal which does not corrupt, however silver does and will tarnish because it is strongly affected by sulphur present in the air and by other such chemicals listed above. Tarnishing is not classed as a manufacturing fault.
***** Please note that due to the shape of some of the charms, they may be prone to catching on particular types of clothing, such as fluffy jumpers/cardigans and or standard woollen jumpers/cardigans. You may therefore wish to remove your jewellery whilst wearing fluffy jumpers or cardigans made with any type of yarn/wool. This is not a defect or manufacturing fault.
POSSIBLE ALLERGENS
* Real 925 Sterling Silver jewellery consists of 92.5 percent pure silver and the rest is made up by using a type of alloy, which is typically copper.
** Metal allergies can take a variety of different forms, with some people being allergic only to nickel, while others are allergic to copper.
*** As 925 Sterling Silver Jewellery consist of a small trace element of alloy, typically copper, it is important to ensure that you are not allergic to Sterling Silver and or Rose Gold Filled Jewellery prior to making your purchase.

In terms of the hand made Sterling Silver Rings which are gently hammered, as these are individually hand-made, you may find slight variances in terms of the exact size.
** Colour may vary slightly from the items photographed and uploaded online. Each and every item is unique, in each and every way and made with due love, care and attention.
*** Some photographs have been taken close up/zoomed in, in order for you to better visualise the charm/pendant/ear-rings. Feel free to measure approximate sizes at home on a blank piece of paper if necessary.
**** Individual pieces of Sterling silver weighing more than 7.78 grams are required to carry a UK hallmark, as per UK law. All sterling silver falling under this weight will not be hallmarked. Small singular charms and single beads are not subject to Hallmarking as they are exempt due to their singular weight measurements making them exempt.
***** I may often use a slightly different shaped sterling silver 925 Jewellery Tag from the photograph uploaded, therefore please read the item description which will detail the shape of the Quality Tag.
****** Please note, that when choosing a custom size, from the optional drop down box upon purchase, your bracelet may me made with slightly more, or slightly less beads to accommodate your bracelet size. Your final outcome may differ ever so slightly from the item photographed.
******* With necklaces, their may be a very slight variation in terms of (mm) in length. This is not classed as a fault. It is due to the soldering/manufacturing process.
